Cisco CCNA Route & Switch Certification Training

Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1(ICND1) v3.0 is an Associate-level self-study technical course in the curriculum for the CCNA Route & Switch certification. It provides the foundational understanding of network layers 1-3 that are applicable to core routing and switching plus other advanced technologies. Several topics have been added in the latest version, including understanding the interactions and network functions of firewalls, wireless controllers and access points, along with additional focus on IPv6 and basic network security.  All configuration commands are introduced through examples and supported with lab exercises.

Objectives include:

  • Describe network fundamentals and build simple LANs
  • Establish Internet connectivity
  • Manage and secure network devices
  • Expand small to medium sized networks
  • Describe IPv6 basics

This new Cisco self-paced course is designed to be as effective as classroom training. Course content is presented in easily-consumable segments via both Instructor Video and text. Interactivity is enabled through Discovery Labs, content review questions, and graded Challenge labs and tests. This makes the learning experience hands-on, increasing course effectiveness, and provides students direct feedback on how well they have mastered the material. And gamification features are built in, including earning badges and a leaderboard, to encourage better performance.
